Shopify Accountant Exmouth

Your Shopify store accounts, sorted.

Most Shopify sellers in Exmouth and across Devon are running their store well before they sort out the accounting. Payout reconciliation, VAT exposure and a growing transaction volume make that harder each month. Fixed monthly fee, ICAEW chartered, same-day replies.

  • Shopify payouts reconciled monthly — no year-end archaeology
  • VAT threshold monitored — no unexpected registration obligations
  • Tax position visible throughout the year, not just at the deadline
  • An accountant who already understands how Shopify pays out

No long-term contract. If it is not working after three months, you leave with clean books and nothing owed.

Sound familiar?

Running a Shopify store, not an accounting practice?

As your store grows, the admin grows with it. Shopify payouts do not land in your bank the way a straightforward invoice does — there are fees, refunds, adjustments and timing differences that make reconciliation genuinely fiddly. Meanwhile, your VAT position quietly shifts, the tax return comes around again, and the bookkeeping that was three months behind is now six. It is all solvable — it just takes longer the more you leave it.

  • Hours lost trying to reconcile Shopify payouts against bank statements
  • No clear picture of your tax bill until the deadline is already close
  • VAT threshold approaching with no one monitoring whether you have crossed it

What sorted looks like

Shopify transactions reconciled monthly so the numbers are current and accurate. Your tax position visible throughout the year rather than arriving as a surprise. VAT monitored as a matter of course so the threshold does not catch you out.

  • Shopify payouts reconciled monthly — no backlog, no guesswork
  • Tax liability clear well before HMRC asks for it
  • VAT threshold monitored — you will not be caught out by a quiet crossing
  • One fixed monthly cost that does not change however many questions you ask

Kieran at Swift is super! He helped and bailed me out of the last minute panic of tax and Companies House returns. He’s on the ball, quick at responding, patient with me and got the job done stress free, plus his rates are very competitive.

What you get

What your monthly fee covers

Three things that keep your Shopify store’s books clean, your tax position visible and your admin manageable — for one fixed monthly fee.

01

Shopify Bookkeeping and Reconciliation

Every Shopify payout, fee, refund and adjustment reconciled monthly against your bank account. Your records stay current throughout the year, which means no year-end scramble and no guesswork when the tax return comes around. Xero is used as standard — cloud-based, accessible and Making Tax Digital compliant.

Included as standard
02

VAT Returns and MTD Compliance

Quarterly VAT returns prepared and filed with HMRC on time, every time. Your VAT position is monitored throughout the year — if you are approaching the registration threshold, you will know well in advance rather than after the fact. Making Tax Digital compliant as standard.

Quarterly, fixed fee
03

Year-End Accounts and Corporation Tax

Annual accounts, CT600 and Companies House confirmation statement handled in one fixed fee. Because the bookkeeping is current throughout the year, year-end is straightforward rather than an event that requires weeks of reconstruction. Your tax bill is known well before the payment deadline.

No extras, no surprises

Why Swift

Why Shopify sellers choose Swift

There is no shortage of accountants. Here is what is different about working with one who already understands how Shopify, eCommerce and small limited companies actually work.

🛍️

No explaining how Shopify works

Payout timing, gateway fees, refund adjustments, multi-currency settlements — you will not need to spend the first twenty minutes of a call explaining how your store pays out before getting a useful answer. We work with Shopify sellers regularly. Ask a question, get an answer.

💬

Replies the same day

Questions get answered the day you ask them. Not logged, not queued, not passed to a junior. If you want to know whether a piece of equipment is deductible or whether you need to register for VAT, you will know before the end of the working day.

🔒

One price, clearly agreed

Your monthly fee is fixed and does not move. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices, no charge every time you send an email. Your accounting costs are as predictable as any other fixed overhead in your business.

Getting started

Up and running in four steps

Four steps from initial enquiry to everything being handled. No complicated onboarding, no paperwork that needs a solicitor.

1

Send your enquiry

Fill in the form on this page. Kieran reads every enquiry personally and responds the same day with a clear next step. No automated holding messages, no waiting to hear whether you fit.

2

A short discovery call

Twenty minutes to understand your Shopify setup, current software and what needs sorting. By the end of the call you will know exactly what is covered, what it costs, and what happens next.

3

We handle the setup

Your Xero account is connected, your Shopify integration is configured and your records are brought up to date. You do not need to do anything except confirm you want to proceed.

4

Ongoing — nothing falls through

Monthly bookkeeping, quarterly VAT, annual accounts and corporation tax — handled as a matter of course. Your tax position is visible throughout the year, not just when it becomes urgent. Surprises are largely avoidable when the books are current.

Questions

Questions Shopify sellers usually ask first

Yes — you will not need to explain the difference between gross sales and a Shopify payout before getting a useful answer. Gateway fees, refund adjustments, Shopify Payments settlement timing and multi-currency transactions are all categorised correctly from the start. It is not unusual complexity for us.
Once your books are current, your tax liability becomes visible throughout the year rather than arriving as a shock at the end. Most clients have a clear picture of what they owe three to four months before payment is due — long enough to plan, not just react.
It is the reason most people come to us. Catching up takes a little more time at the start and may cost slightly more — we will be clear about that before you commit. Once the records are current, keeping them current is straightforward.
No. Month-to-month, with a month’s notice to cancel. We would rather keep clients because the service is worth it than because the exit is inconvenient.
