Partnership Accounts Exeter

Your partnership accounts, properly handled.

Running a business partnership adds a layer most accountants underestimate. The SA800, individual partner returns, profit allocations and HMRC submissions all need to align — and the gaps show up at the worst moments. Fixed monthly fee, ICAEW chartered, same-day replies.

  • Partnership accounts and SA800 filed accurately and on time
  • Each partner’s self-assessment prepared with the correct profit figures
  • Profit-sharing and capital accounts kept clear throughout the year
  • Less HMRC correspondence landing on you or your partners

No long-term contract. If it is not working after three months, you leave with clean books and nothing owed.

Sound familiar?

Partnership admin messier than the arrangement itself?

Partnerships look straightforward until the accounts are due. The SA800 needs to reflect what each partner actually drew, capital accounts need reconciling and every individual partner still has their own self-assessment deadline. When one of those pieces is late or wrong, HMRC notices all of them. It is manageable — it just needs someone who already knows how the moving parts fit together.

  • SA800 and partner returns due at different times, easy to miss one
  • Profit allocations unclear or undocumented, causing disagreements come year end
  • Partnership books months behind, making accurate returns nearly impossible

What a tidy partnership looks like

Partnership accounts filed on time, with each partner’s return prepared from the same clean set of numbers. Profit allocations documented and agreed throughout the year. HMRC correspondence handled before it lands on anyone’s kitchen table.

  • SA800 and all partner self-assessments filed on time, every year
  • Profit allocations clear and documented — no surprises at year end
  • Books brought current and kept that way — no last-minute catch-up
  • One fixed monthly fee covering all of it — no per-partner extras

Why Swift

Why partnerships choose Swift

There is no shortage of accountants in Devon. Here is what makes a difference when your accounts involve more than one person’s tax position.

🤝

Partnership admin already understood

SA800 returns, partner profit allocations, capital account reconciliations — you will not need to explain the structure before getting a useful answer. Partnerships introduce complexity that catches some accountants off guard. It does not catch us.

💬

Replies the same day

Questions get answered the day you ask them. Not passed along, not queued — answered. If one partner has a query about their share of the tax bill, they will have a clear response before the end of the working day.

🔒

One fixed price, covers everyone

Your monthly fee is agreed upfront and does not change based on how many questions you ask. No per-partner surcharges, no hourly billing surprises. Your accounting costs are as predictable as your other fixed overheads.

Getting started

Up and running in four steps

From first contact to everything being handled takes about ten minutes of your time. The rest is on us.

1

Send your enquiry

Fill in the form on this page. Kieran reads every enquiry and responds the same day with a clear next step. No automated holding messages, no waiting a week to hear back.

2

A short discovery call

Twenty minutes to understand your partnership structure, how profit is shared, what software you are using and what needs sorting. By the end of the call you will know exactly what is covered and what it costs — nothing vague.

3

We handle the setup

Your accounting software is connected, records are brought up to date and the partnership details are configured correctly. You do not need to do anything except confirm you want to go ahead.

4

Ongoing — nothing gets missed

Monthly bookkeeping, the SA800, partner self-assessments, year-end accounts — handled as a matter of course. You will know each partner’s tax position well before the deadline arrives. Which is, frankly, how it should be.

Questions

Questions partnerships usually ask first

Yes — the SA800 and each partner’s individual self-assessment are prepared together from the same set of accounts. That way the figures align and nothing gets submitted inconsistently. It is included in the fixed monthly fee.
Once your books are current, each partner’s tax position becomes visible throughout the year rather than only at year end. Most clients have a reasonable estimate three to four months before the deadline — long enough to plan for it rather than scramble.
It is why most people come to us. Getting up to date takes a little longer at the start and may cost slightly more — we will tell you exactly what to expect before any work begins. Once current, keeping it current is straightforward.
No. Month-to-month, cancel with a month’s notice. We would rather keep clients because the service is worth it than because leaving has been made difficult.
