Shopify Accountant Barnstaple

Your Shopify store accounts, sorted.

Running a Shopify store means the admin rarely stops — payouts to reconcile, VAT to think about, a tax return looming and books that are never quite as current as they should be. It gets more complicated as the business grows. Fixed monthly fee, ICAEW chartered, same-day replies.

  • Clean, current books every month — no year-end scramble
  • Know your tax position well before HMRC sends the reminder
  • VAT returns filed on time, MTD compliant as standard
  • An accountant who already knows how Shopify payouts and fees work

No long-term contract. If it is not working after three months, you leave with clean books and nothing owed.

Sound familiar?

Shopify books not quite keeping up with the store?

The more your Shopify business grows, the more the admin multiplies. Payouts that do not quite match the bank, a VAT threshold that has crept closer than you realised, and a corporation tax return coming round with records that need a lot of work. None of it is unusual — and all of it is solvable. It just takes longer the more it is left.

  • Hours spent trying to reconcile Shopify payouts against bank statements
  • No clear picture of your tax liability until the bill is almost due
  • VAT registration threshold approaching with no one watching it

What sorted looks like

Shopify transactions reconciled monthly so your records are never far behind. Your tax position visible throughout the year, not just at deadline. VAT monitored so the threshold does not catch you unaware.

  • Shopify payouts reconciled every month — no year-end archaeology
  • Tax liability visible well before HMRC asks for payment
  • VAT threshold monitored — no unexpected registration obligations
  • A fixed monthly cost that does not move regardless of how many questions you ask

Why Swift

Why Shopify sellers choose Swift

There is no shortage of accountants. Here is what is different about working with one who already knows how Shopify, eCommerce and small limited companies work.

🛍️

No explaining how Shopify works

Shopify payouts, payment processing fees, refunds, chargebacks, cross-border VAT on digital sales — you will not spend ten minutes bringing the accountant up to speed before getting a useful answer. We work with eCommerce sellers every day. Ask a question, get an answer.

💬

Replies the same day

Questions get answered the day you ask them. Not logged, not queued, not passed to a junior — answered. If you want to know whether a piece of kit is deductible or how to treat a Shopify refund in the accounts, you will know before the end of the day.

🔒

One price, clearly agreed

Your monthly fee is fixed and does not move. No hourly billing, no surprises, no invoice that arrives larger than expected. Your accounting costs are as predictable as any other fixed overhead.

Getting started

Up and running in four steps

Four steps from enquiry to everything being handled. No complicated onboarding, no forms that need a lawyer to understand.

1

Send your enquiry

Fill in the form on this page. Kieran reads every enquiry and responds the same day with a clear next step. No automated holding messages.

2

A short discovery call

Twenty minutes to understand your Shopify setup, current records and what needs sorting. By the end of the call you will know exactly what is covered, what it costs and when things start.

3

We handle the setup

Your accounting software is connected, your Shopify records are brought up to date and everything is configured correctly. You do not need to do anything except confirm you want to proceed.

4

Ongoing — nothing falls through

Monthly bookkeeping, quarterly VAT, annual accounts and corporation tax — handled as a matter of course. You will know your tax position well before it becomes urgent. Surprises are largely avoidable when the books are current.

Questions

Questions Shopify sellers usually ask first

Yes — you will not need to explain how Shopify pays out before getting a useful answer. Shopify Payments settlements, transaction fees, refunds and third-party payment processor charges are all categorised correctly from the start. It is not unusual complexity for us.
Once your books are current, your tax liability becomes visible throughout the year rather than just at the end of it. Most clients have a clear picture of what they owe three to four months before it is due — long enough to plan, not just react.
It is why most people come to us. Getting up to date takes a little longer at the start and may cost slightly more — we will tell you that upfront, not after the work is done. Once current, keeping it current is straightforward.
No. Month-to-month, cancel with a month’s notice. We would rather keep clients because the service is worth it than because leaving is inconvenient.
